50th anniversary of BULTACO
This year 2008 commemorates the 50th anniversary of BULTACO.
In 1958 Paco Bultó with some unconditional people started what was going to be an amazing story. Bultaco became much more than a motorcycle brand... proof of it is the fact that nowadays is still in the hearts of many fans.
Attracted by the enthusiasm Bultaco always transmitted, the last18th October 2008, an event has been hold to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
An event of international scope, in which we lived again those marvellous days gathering all those important persons related with the brand. Some important riders wanted to participate at the 50th Bultaco Anniversary: Sammy Miller, Yrjö Vesterinen, Charles Coutard, Martin Lampkin, Emilio Ostorero, Serge Bacou, Narcís Casas, Toni Elias, Domingo Gris, Jorge Capapey, José Ángel Mendívil, Ramiro Blanco, Salvador Cañellas, Toni Gorgot,… Also attended the event the fonders of the brand and different members of Bultó family. Besides, thanks to all collectors and fans which still keep the brand alive, we heard the Pursang, Sherpa T, Metralla, Matador, Frontera, TSS noise again...
Facilities of SIP Outdoor Activities, in Bassella (Lleida), were the ideal place to celebrate the first half century in Bultaco's life. Despite the rain, there was trial, motocross, offroad, children's circuit, a road section duly prepared and a big paddock to stroll around many, many Bultaco motorbikes.
We want to appreciate the presence of all the participants (more than a thousand people) that despite the bad weather did not want to miss the party: 200 participants with motorbike, 400 without motorbike, riders, founders, Bultó family, collaborators,… Thank you very much to everybody! we shared a very emotional day in which revived the glorious years of the brand and confirmed that Bultaco is still alive.
